Considering the region's locality and culture, we sought to find a new possibility between Taiping Market's past and future with an updated image. We took traditional Chinese calligraphy signboards as a starting point, drawing inspiration from the title calligraphy of the plaque and using digitalized interpretative approaches to integrate its history and future.

Thinking of digital interpretation approaches of traditional Chinese characters, we constructed a grid system based on pixel evolution to explore the boundaries of text recognition and its application possibilities. Through the digital evolution of the grid, we captured various different-scales frozen frames to reconstruct the visual rhythm of the interlacing of the new and old, the complex and the simple, in the relations among glyphs, semantics, and images. We transformed the experimental exploration into visual entities embedded in daily life.
